So guess what. . .

I bought a wedding dress today!  Yep, after 4 shopping trips, I found the dress for me!  It is beautiful, but that is all that I can say because Christian reads this thing.  So - if you want details, let me know!  Also, today is Christian and my 1 year anniversary!  yay!

Update - it looks like Christian will be attending UNT in the Fall!  He will be getting a masters in Trumpet Performance.  So, we will not be moving to Florida or Kentucky - however, I was okay with moving, but Texas was secretly my first choice.  I will graduate December 16th after student teaching in Fort Worth and then get married a week later on December 23rd.  December will be quite a month, I tell you what!

I will update again!  Have a wonderful Easter season. . . take some time to reflect on what our Savior did for us.  He is the greatest gift of all

This has been a crazy couple of weeks here recently.  Obviously the biggest part was getting engaged, but the next thing is MY RECITAL.  I am prepared and ready to go, so that is good, but I'm still a little nervous.  It will be this Saturday, March 4 at 5:30 in Recital Hall II.  For those of you that do not know, this recital is a big deal for music majors.  My hope is that I will enjoy the recital and that the audience will enjoy it as well.  That is what performing is all about.  For me, though, I want to truly glorify God on Saturday through my singing.  (I actually have a spiritual section on the recital! Yay!)  He has blessed me with a talent for teaching, music, and performing (and in that order too )  He deserves all the glory on Saturday - He has given me the talent, He provided a way to get to Baylor, and He has gotten me this far!  Thank you Lord!

Anyway, that is a little update.  I hope that those of you who are in Waco or nearby can come to the recital.  It should be fun and there will be a reception afterwards!

That is about it for now, take care friends!

I'M ENGAGED!!!!

I got engaged on Feb. 18th to the love of my life! It was absolutely perfect. (here is a quick retelling of the story incase you wanted to know!)

I was under the impression that we were celebrating Valentine's Day/anniversary on the evening of the 18th, but I didn't know any details.  So,  we arrived at the Reata (downtown Ft Worth) and we were taken to a table on the top floor of the restaurant full of rose petals and three roses. There Christian said "Happy Valentine's Day and happy anniversary. (come to find out - that was only a distraction!) Then the manager comes to our table and wants to "upgrade" us to one of their "special" tables downstairs because it looked like we were celebrating something "special." Low and behold, my family was hiding in the private room and yelled "Surprise!" when the doors were opened. Christian was on his knee before I could stop crying and completely figure out what was going on. He proposed and I said "YES!" However, it did not end there, after giving me the BEAUTIFUL ring, he gave me a bible with my future name on it. We then ate an amazing dinner together with my family! It couldn't have been anymore perfect!

Hi friends

I know it has been a really long time!  Sorry -- I have just been really busy.

I have one favor - please pray for me.  I have been raising money for the spring break mission trip to Nicaragua that I am going on and I do not have the money yet. (or anywhere near $1000)  Also, I have not been feeling well (my voice has been shot the past 4 or 5 days) and I have a hearing a week from tuesday and a recital in less than a month.  Not to mention all the other school stress that goes along with being a music major and a senior.

Other than that stuff - I am doing well.  I have a wonderful boyfriend, amazing family and friends!  God is so good - even though I am not giving Him the time he deserves.  I student teach in the fall and graduate in December -- I am so ready to be done with school.  Then who knows where I will be come January.  I'd like to be married  and teaching, but that is all TBA.

Anyways, I am done for now friends. . .  I am going to spend some time with my heavenly Father and then go to sleep!  Adios

I'm so bad at updating.  sorry!  Here are some of the highlights:

I have the most amazing boyfriend in the whole world and I just got to spend 9 solid days with him in Arkansas/Fort Worth/Waco!    Arkansas was so great - I love his family already.  They were so welcoming and fun to be with.  We got to eat at some great restaurants and just be with each other, none of the talking on the phone business. (which I don't mind - but being in person is 100 times better)  It was perfect!  Oh, Matt Endres is now married and living in New Mexico - scary , but I am happy for he and Dalana.

Lets see, I've just been doing stuff around the house since I got back from AR.  I got my hair cut yesterday -- its pretty short compared to how long my hair has been recently.

School starts in 2 weeks, but I'll probably head to waco on the 16th or 17th.  I am ready to be back, but not because of the school part, just the people part.

Sorry.... gotta run.  Adios mis amigos.  God is so good - I hope you know Him!
